McGuire year 11 VCAL students took part in tree planting along the Broken River on the 7th June 2016
This was RiverConnect's first tree planting event for the year. Some students were keen to put on overalls and gumboots and showed much enthusiasm in digging the holes for other students to do the planting. Teacher Ange took photos of the activity. The planting of native understorey plants will enhance habitat along the river; these shrubs will provide shelter and feeding sites for birds and other native fauna.
