Sunday 1 March was our annual Clean Up Australia Day.
Over 70 people helped clean up their local community at four locations across the RiverConnect project area on Sunday, collecting a phenomenal amount of rubbish.
Participants at Boulevard Bush Reserve visited Shepparton Weir and Reedy Swamp where they collected two skips full of litter, 9 mattresses and 2 couch sets.
Rubbish continues to be an increasing problem for Shepparton and Mooroopna, with large dumps occurring regularly along the Goulburn River and its floodplain.
A huge thanks goes out to all who chipped in to help improve our community.
