Clean Up Australia Day 2013 - a success at Reedy Swamp
On Sunday 3 March we held the Community Clean Up Australia Day at Reedy Swamp, hosted by Shepparton Mooroopna Urban Landcare Group and RiverConnect.
There were 28 helpers and the rubbish collected included: 16 tyres, two outboard engines, 2 wheels, 1 TV, steel and wire. Plus a skip bin full of general waste and 9 recycle bags. Great effort by all!
Two tiger snakes were seen at close promixity to our clean up site, reminding everyone that we are in a natural environment with real risks.
For the Business Clean up Day on Tuesday 26 February, 9 super staff members filled 10 large bags of rubbish. A grand effort for a lunch time pick-up.
